Last day before break!

If you are all finished with your Social Studies project, you may check out the Pixar Brave hair simulator.  Leave a comment about what you learned (at least three sentences with proper grammar and a screenname) and it will count for one of your three video assignments.

Khan Academy provides tutorials for different types of coding. This includes "Pixar in a Box" tutorials.

Click here for the Pixar Brave hair simulator.

PS - STEM competitors who competed in the NASA lander competition - let me know if you would like to do this for a project.

  2. (1)I learned that they had to use normal springs.
(2)They also had to use springs with other little springs inside them.
(3)I also learned that they have to put alot of time and effort into all of that.

  3. One thing I learned from the brave hair video is that it took a while for them to make the hair look like real hair. Another thing I learned is that they had to look at real curly hair and how it moves. Another thing I learned is there first attempt didn’t work because it moved too much. The last thing I learned is they got it to work by putting some sort of springs in the curls.

  4. I have learned a few things from the hair video. I learned that they use the computer to design the hair for the characters. To do that they had to look at a real person with curly hair. They noticed that when you pull down on them and then let it go it goes back to normal,it's like a spring. So the character, Merida’s hair basically was a bunch of springs. That is a few things I have learned from this video.
